more development and whatnot

as of today, i have been working on more of the mech designs and workin g on the app by the name of tabletopia, a free app based board game ite that allows you to play and build your own board game, i have only been dabbling breifly in the software and getting my head aorund how it works, it seems pretty simple to understand but will most definitely take time to make a working prototype for the game and have a successful run through.

the design and the ui seem pretty simple to grasp and has all of the necessary features to start building a first prototype which i will be trying to work on as of the next few weeks, as well as developing monsters, bosses and icons to what they should be.

first atttempt at desining the archetypes and icons, on the left have been cosidered viable whereas the right my need tweaking to better corrospond to the appropriate archetype

as of talking with my teammate, i had given her a suggestion on how i should go about dealing with the archetypes that my game so dearly requires for battling monsters, my initial thouht was to have the archetypes as words at the bottom of the card and leave it as that, butt, Laura had suggested that i turn the words of the archetpyes i wanted to use (energy, physical and cqb) into icons alongside the others that i had made (health, attack and defense for the mechs, hp, attack power and dice roll to determine a successful attack.)

initially i wanted to have the archetypes be used to fight the other mechs in the game , but i have since changed that idea to instead be aimed towards fighting the monster cards in PVE combat (player vs. Enemy) allowing the archetypes to add a booster when fighting the appropraite monster with a coresponding archetype..

fighting other players would be determined and fought by a dice roll, highest number rolled determines the winner and who deals damage to whom.

as of this moment i have been working the default mech, also know as the shuttler, which all players will start out with and  progresively change and alter to get stronger and ultimately win

as well as one of the first basic mechs that the player can find in the scaveger deck here

as of writing this i have been dealing with colour palettes and attempting to create and prototype weaponry that would aso be affiliated with the mechs in hand, which willl be posted about later on, as of now i am still working on card backs and reformatting them to be crisp and clean pictures, hopefully being able to create a useable and testable product soon, though by any means

as of my next post i will show off the finished versions of sketches and what i have done so far

as of now though with the spectacular help of my teammate laura she has been able to chsnge my game paragraph of exposition into a much more readable and more believable piece.

The year is 2500.
Earth’s resources have diminished by over 75%. Whatever resources have been used and are now left are used to explore distant planets to rebolster earths own supplies for the sake of the next generation. in the outer reaches, the outer rim of the alpha centauri system, on a rogue desolate planet, four military company based space shuttles crash landed on the planet, using their elite soldiers to survive and bring back resources by defeating the creatures of the desolate landscapes and scorched horizons using strange metals and a form of weaponised machines known as Mechs, the only available weapon that would be able to exterminate the threats that lurked in the deepest depths and highest mountains

new and edited version made by laura:

The year is 2500.
Earth’s resources, once so bountiful and prosperous, have significantly diminished by over seventy-five percent.
The few valuable assets that remain are utilized to explore distant planets by a hardened population, in their yearning hope of rebolstering Earth’s supplies for future generations.

However, in the outer reaches of the Alpha Centauri star system, a rogue and desolate planet keeps a silent vigil. Four military company-based space shuttles have crash-landed on its surface and have wasted no time in mobilising their elite soldiers to harvest the planet’s resources.
However, this is no easy feat. This seemingly unsuspecting world’s landscapes and scorched horizons are crawling with various hostile creatures, all of whom the military forces must battle against if they are to retrieve what they came for. Luckily, they have an ace up their sleeve: a battalion of weaponised machines known as ‘Mechs’, the only weapon capable of exterminating the threats that lurk in the deepest depths and highest mountains of this desolate, hostile planet.

all the credit goes to her for making this excerpt and sell it as hard as has she did has really created a more developed and fleshed out piece of work that properly explains what i wanted to properly get across, once again i could not have done this as expertly and effectively without her.
