29/04/2021 the official date of when all of the cards for my physical prototype all have abilities and are now actually playable, giving make a mech a more rounded and hopefully a slightly harder experience that can still be perceived as fun, as of now i am very pleased with where i stand at this very moment and will be taking the time to make and curate another 10 to 20 cards for the other decks, the monster deck is teeming with life, but the scavenger and mech deck may require a few new cards to help them bulk up
My plan for the next few weeks is to make two new mythic mechs, one rare mech and four new scavenged mechs that can be found throughout the game itself, this will help to give the players more choice and give all decks more love and slightly elevate the games state further, though i will have to playtest once again to find put if cards are still too strong or too weak. Though i have not given any overpowered effects to one specific card and have attempted to spread out effects that can synergise with other monsters on the field to create difficult challenges and add another layer to fighting against PVE monsters
As of my next moves, i will be dealing with playtesting and making a short documentary for my game to explain what it is for the end of year show, this will help to also broaden and help those who have not seen make a mech hopefully get a better understanding of what i have made, how it works and all that other fun stuff.
Alongside posting for social media accounts and attempting to gain some form of traction for the idea/concept that i have made so far, i will need to allocate time to finding all of my resources so far and then bulk posting to twitter and instagram, as well as formatting correctly for a 1:1 scale for instagram, which, i hate doing and makes a lot of the work that i have made look squished and very pixelated, although it sucks, i will have to do this as part of the work as it will also help to bolster my grade.
As for now it will be refining and dealing with all of the other bits and pieces that were previously mentioned and dealing with them in a timely manner, giving myself some breathing room and not having to worry about numbers and statistics, synergies and the possible difficulty of the enemies i have created. As well as also dealing with the rulebook for make a mech and add supporting visuals to help make the rules make more sense, though i am reiterating and adding as i continue to deal with everything so far.
I am quietly confident with the product i have made, but i would like to get others to try out my game eventually and give more feedback to help me get a better understanding of what i could do more of, take away and or implement, if i get the time to do such a thing.
